In re to your search for a small jet engine: There is a company in
Chetek Wisconsin USA that produces a couple of small jet engines for
laboratory use, training, and military drones. There name is Turbine
Technologies, 430 Phillips Street, Chetek Wisconsin 54728, phone
715-924-4876. They have built both axial flow and centrifugal flow
models with their most succesful being the model SR-30 centrifugal
flow turbine. It produces 32 lbs of thrust weighs 10.5 lbs, is 11.75
inches long aND 6.75 INCHES IN DIAMETER.
	
Their current project is to make a turbo fan unit for this engine and
mount two of them on a BD-5 homebuilt. Write them for more info-they
have a number of nice brochures as well as videotapes.
